Wedgwood wireless projectors
Wireless technology enables images from a computer to be transmitted to the projector without a wire between the two. Hence the use of a VGA cable to connect the computer to the projector is no longer required.
The great advantage in installing a wireless projector in a training or conference room is that you do not need to worry about cabling. Traditionally you would need to connect a 10 metre VGA cable between the projector and the computers being used, perhaps hiding the wires in trunking, which looks messy. This makes ceiling mounting projectors cheaper and easier. You could ask a local electrician to install a projector ceiling mount kit on your ceiling and wire up a power point for the projector (which can be hidden in suspended ceilings). Then they would mount the projector in the ceiling kit and use the wireless technology to connect to the computer in the room. You may still need to wire up a video cable to video devices such as DVD players. However, you can now install TV tuner cards in PC’s that allow you to display TV, etc through a PC whose images can be sent wirelessly to the projector. Most new computers have DVD drive which an play films.
Most of the multimedia projectors below can be used for both computer and video presentations. Projectors marked with VIDEO can only be used with video sources such as DVD players and video recorders. For help on choosing a projector, then click here or request our:
