Many unbranded products are made abroad, for instance in China, and are brought into the UK by importers as unbranded goods. This gives customers a choice of buying a brand product or unbranded alternative. This is quite normal practice as in the High Street and supermarkets, customers have a choice of brands, own brands or unbranded products.
