Sony SNC-DF80P/POE indoor or outdoor, vandal resistant mini dome network camera supports an efficient and intelligent processing method called intelligent video analytics which determines automatically when an image should be recorded or an alarm should be triggered. It also delivers superior security and surveillance monitoring with extremely high sensitivity levels and exceptionally clear images thanks to 1/3-type CCD SuperExwave technology and dependable 24/7 operation with a Day/Night function and vandal-resistant features.

Sony SNC-DF80P network mini-dome camera is an efficient and intelligent processing method called intelligent video analysis. This means that when the recorder receives object detection data from an intelligent camera, it analyses object movement and can perform predefined actions. For example, it can initiate image recording, and it can trigger an alarm. This clever, distributed processing helps to minimise server workload, network bandwidth and storage requirements.

Based on the Sony Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) platform, this method comprises intelligent built-in camera functions – such as Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD) and Intelligent Object Detection (IOD). These intelligent features are key to improving the level of security in surveillance systems.

For operational convenience, these new multi-codec cameras support three compression formats: JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264. Furthermore, both cameras can generate JPEG and MPEG-4 images simultaneously.

It’s quick and easy to adjust the camera view angle during installation – a clever Sony-patented Ball-Joint Lens Mount mechanism lets the installer rotate the vari-focal lens in any direction. It takes just one action to adjust the pan and tilt angles, thanks to this unique intelligent design.
