PCS-TL50 is a fully integrated LCD conferencing system for the executive. It features a 20-inch widescreen XGA LCD panel and the same high end video-conferencing facilities from the PCS-1P.

The PCS-TL50 is Sony's first desktop video conferencing solution for executive personal communication or small meeting rooms. The new system features a unique pan-tilt-zoom camera embedded in a 20 inch wide screen LCD display that doubles as a high end computer or video monitor. It also features an embedded codec, microphones and stereo speakers to reduce desktop clutter and simplify set up. A new interface makes calling simple and a remote control directs the camera.

The PCS-TL50 comes with a 2Mb IP interface as standard and can be upgraded (extra cost) with either a 384k or 768k ISDN connection box for maximum connectivity (extra). The system supports ITU-T standard H.264 for improved quality conferencing on limited bandwidth as well as high quality audio through MPEG-4 advanced audio coding (AAC).

The optional (extra) Data Solutions Box can be used as a plug-in solution to share PC files and additional microphones can be used to accommodate additional speakers. The PCS-TL50 can also be upgraded to allow up to six site conferencing over IP and ISDN.
