Sony PCS-G70 IP Videoconferencing system
Sony PCS-G70 Sony PCS-G70 Videoconferencing system is a 4Mb IP base system with voice motion tracking camera (PCSA-CG70P) and mic, which gives up to 4Mb over IP. Ideal for high-end boardrooms, large conferencing centres, auditoriums and healthcare applications where high quality is essential. You can record your conference, but will need a memory stick (not supplied). All Sony videoconferencing systems can receive data, but if you want to send data you will need a data solutions box. Superb picture quality can be achieved in point-to-point and multi-point calls with the H.264 video capability. The picture quality can be even further enhanced through interlaced video coding or 4CIF live video, resulting in TV quality images. The G70 can have two cameras (sold separately) to gain the whole view of a larger room or L-shaped room. Sony Videoconferencing range The PCS-TL33 desktop, IP video conferencing unit, which is a monitor and camera all-in-one is ideal for an executive or director to use in the office. The PCS-1P is an established older model, which a small mic attached to the unit, and for a medium sized meeting room you would need addtional audio to hear what is being said. The PCS-G50 is ideal for around 8 people in a small conference room. The PCS-G70 and one or two secondary cameras is ideal for a larger meeting room, so that one camera picks up half the room each, especially L-shaped rooms. The PCS-XG80 is a high definition (HD) Videoconferencing system, ideal for medical applications, and could be complement by a high-end visualiser or live image camera.
