Shure manufacture microphones and audio electronics for the music and entertainment industry.

In 1925 Shure Radio Company was founded by Sidney N. Shure as a one-man company selling radio parts kits before factory-built radio sets were marketed. The office located in downtown Chicago. Three years later Shure had grown to more than 75 employees moving to more spacious quarters in Chicago.

Shure have many landmarks during its long history and in 2005 it opened two new facilities in China, a manufacturing facility in Suzhou and a sales and marketing office in Shanghai.
