LG N1742L LG N1742L17-inch network monitor. LG network monitor operates by using software that enables users to virtually share a single host PC. Once this software is installed on a PC, multiple users can share a single PC, with each user running any application they desire by using LG network monitors, keyboards and mice as if they were using separate PCs. All computing tasks are done on the shared PC, while the monitors, keyboards and mice of the users communicate with the shared PC via connection device. Even entry level PCs feature 2GHz dual-core processors and high performance RAM, and it is wasteful for users to use these computing powerhouses for simple work or educational tasks such as word processing, surfing the Internet and sending or receiving emails. LG network monitors let multiple users share the computing strength of a single PC. Please see the manufacturer specification sheet for recommended PC spec for the number of users of LG network monitors. LG network monitors come with i-com utility software that enables the Instructor to remotely monitor and control the Network Monitor user sessions. For example, the teacher can use his/her own monitor to see exactly what each student has on their screens. The teacher can remotely “take over” the student session or “lock out” the student(s) in order to get their full attention. i-com can also broadcast the images on the teacher’s console to all of the students at the same time.
