Neo-Neon Elektor-Flex LED neon naked per 1m white
Elektor-Flex neon - unsleaved - per 1m in white Low voltage, low energy, Elektor-Flex is a flexible neon replacement which gives high, even brightness, making it ideal for the construction of stunning, eye catching signs, without the worries of high voltage and maintenance headaches of traditional neon signs. Elektor-Flex flexible neon is available in a roll of up to 50m and can be cut to size and sold per metre. A choice of six colours, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, White and Blue enable Elektor-FLEX to enhance the aesthetics of any environment. It is also available in RGB. Elektor-Flex is powered by Neo-Neon power supply units, The type of power supply depends on the length of Elektor-Flex you require, so please contact our staff for advice if you need any assistance. Features Low voltage, low energy used - due to the use of LED Light Technology, it performs well on a low voltage of 24V, and consumes only 2.88W per feet. High and even brightness - the light source is a string of light emitted diodes (LEDS) spaced a distance apart sufficient to permit the light emitted by each point light source into the special oval-shaped encapsulating jacket. Due to its own special structure and high intensity of LEDS, Elektor-Flex provides the light with uniformity and neon-like brightness. Long lifetime and durability - Elektor-Flex applies LED Lighting technology in a complete new structure, It is extremely durable under all conditions and has a lifetime of up to 100,000 (approx) hours. Compared to glass neon, it is durable and impact resistant and energy saving. Energy saving - Elektor-Flex can save you up to 70% or more in energy costs: Traditional glass neon: 8.75 watts per linear foot; Elektor-Flex: LED Lighting: -2.88watts per linear foot Flexibility - Elektor-Flex is highly flexible, It can be bent in field to a minimum radius of 4cm, and can be cut at any length on the cutting mark. Thus it is very easy to shape varied letters, patterns, motifs and other applications. Safety - unlike neon lights that have to run on a very high voltage of 15,000V, Elektor-Flex only operates on 24V, As it is shock proof, very little heat emitted, it is absolutely safe to use. Transportable and easy to install - because of the fragility and heavy weight primarily due to its supporting infrastructure, traditional neon light is expensive to package and ship. Elektor-Flex, with minimized size and lightweight, provides the handling benefit so that it is easy to transport. With its special designed accessories, Elektor-Flex is easy to install and can save your tremendous labour. Colour Rendition - LED's are batched to ensure a uniformity of colour within a manufacturing batch, however colours may vary between batches according typical industry criteria. RoHS and WEEE compliant. Recommended storage and operating temperature: -20°C to 60°C, 100% humidity. Connecting and installation Elektor-FLEX bendable neon is extremely flexible and can be bent to a minimum radius of 4cm. It is cut to length using the cutting marks which are evenly spaced along the length of the flexible tube. The cutting marks are accurately positioned in sequence with the tube LED pattern and ensures that you cannot cut through the pcb. Elektor-FLEX is easily shaped for lettering, logos and for any linear application. The Elektor-FLEX tubes are connected with a specially designed range of modular accessories making it much quicker and simpler to install than neon. The Elektor-FLEX tubes are connected via a univeral male connecting pin which fits into a hollow female connector running the entire length of the tube. The connections are sealed using a series of clear, heat-shrunk tubular connectors, tube end caps and a specially formulated glue. The sealed connections are safe, flexible, shock and impact resistant and are tolerant to all outdoor conditions. Elektor-FLEX can be cut, bent and formed in the field and is easily installed onto any flat surface such as walls, wood, plastic, steel etc. You can have linear installation, curved installation, 90 degree installation, 180 degree installation, convex or concave installation and linear installation. Installation tips: Mark centre lines or draw an outline of the required design and position tubes prior to cutting. Secure mounting clips (sold separately) or cut lengths of U channel along the centreline with screws. If there are curves it is advised to secure a mounting clip or a cut section of U channel. Insert tube into mounting clips or channel with the lighting parts upward. Elektor-FLEX - safety Elektor-Flex tubes MUST only be cut on the indicated mark. Before connecting Elektor-Flex with connectors, bend the tube rightwards and leftwards, cut extra copper wires as needed, using the correct tools. Play close attention to polarity, when connecting two pieces. Do NOT use Elektor-Flex if there is any damage on the encapsulating jacket or to its cord, inspect periodically. Do NOT submerge in liquids. Do NOT secure Elektor-Flex oor its cord with staples, nails or by any means which may damage the insulation. Do NOT subject it to continuous flexing. Warning - when using Elektor-FLEX outdoors always use proprietory portable lighting products. Basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Residential Current Circuit Breaker (RCD) protection should be provided on the circuit or outlet to be used for Elektor-Flex. Elektor-FLEX choices Elektor-Flex is offered in four versions giving full flexibility to lighting design. Sleeved Elektor-Flex - projects light directionally upward and is recommended for larger forward facing buildings features and signs Unsleeved (naked) Elektor-Flex (NK) beams light halo fashion and is best suited for back lighting, cornice and effect lighting. Elektor-Flex ultra slim - halo beam and high flexibility, ideal for signage and feature applications. Elektor-Flex Crystal – Same high intensity LED technology as Elektor-Flex within a transparent crystal tube Elektor-Flex DMX - architectural high-impact 16.7 million linear colour change applications.
You will need a power supply unit (PSU) with Elektor-Flex (single colours): 50 Watt 24V DC switch mode power supply unit (SWS50W24) can run 12m of blue or white flex, or 7m of red, amber, yellow or green Please note that the maximum run in one length is 40m, if you require longer lengths than you can run them off of the same power supply but they have to be separate. 300 watt and 600 watt power supply units are available, (SWS300W24) (SWS600W24), but please note if you do use a 600 Watt PSU you MUST split the load and MUST FUSE each section. Other power supply units are available: 24V - 12 watt switch mode psu (SLS/PS/24/12) which runs 3m of blue or white flex, or 1m of red, amber, yellow or green. Please bear in mind 40m run is max you can run off a psu, if you require longer lengths than you can run them off of the same power supply but they have to be separate.
