Features of DPS 402 single zone paging microphone Operating as a normal ‘live’ paging microphone, the paging announcement is made and stored for broadcast. The delay between paging completion and broadcast is internally pre-set on installation to 5, 15, 30 or 60 seconds. Announcements may be pre-set on installation to be automatically repeated once, twice, three or four times, after which they are self cancelled. Announcements can be up to 2 minutes in duration. An announcement can be manually cancelled at any time, including during the original recording, if an error is made or the operator is interrupted. An internal chime can be selected to pre-announce any messages. Alternatively, any pre-announcement chime already included in the host system can be triggered by DPS 402; the announcement is automatically paused until the chime sequence is completed. DPS 402 works with electronic or VOX accessed amplifiers. The microphone output can be at ‘normal’ or line level by ‘D’ pin selection. If the host system is multi-tasked – various inputs – and is equipped with ‘system busy’ outputs, DPS 402 will not broadcast whilst the system is in another use; if a priority use activates during a DPS 402 announcement this will override the announcement which will recommence from its beginning after priority use ceases.
Store 'n' Forward technology is a real step forward for paging in busy environments or for broadcasting repeating announcements for example, in foodstores and transport termini. Using the same housings as the standard DPM range, the DPS400 Series present no visible challenge to the operator. Because any 'live' announcement is time delayed before being broadcast, acoustic feedback is eliminated. The Paging Microphone is available in two basic versions: DPS400: With Message StoreCompletely self-contained, DPS400 can directly replace existing desk paging microphones with these key additional features:a) enables paging announcements to be made without acoustic feedback, as DPS402.b) Independent from a) to record and store up to 3 promotional messages and to automatically repeat them at selected time intervals until manually cancelled. DPS402: A simple paging microphone incorporating Store'n'Forward technology to beat acoustic feedback problems, with automatic self-cancelled repeat.
