Crest Performance graphic equalizers
Graphic equalisers (EQs) are used to control sound frequencies, cutting out the frequencies you don't want and accentuating those you do. For example, in a seminar, the presenter takes to the stage and speaks into a microphone. You might want to make their voice clearer, so using a graphics equalizer, you can change the frequency and make the voice a little deeper or higher. In this way you focus on the frequency of the voice. When another person takes the stage, you can again adjust the frequency to accentuate the voice. You may prefer to hear a deeper, rich, bass sound, which easy on the ear, in preference to a high pitched squeaky voice, where you fear the audience may be more intrigued or irritated with the person's voice, rather than the content of their presentation. People like to hear a warm, rich, bass sound. If you were to put a load of frequencies through your loudspeakers, you can blow them up. Cymbals are high frequency instruments. A graphics equalizer lets you take down the frequency, or you can cut or boost the equalisation at a particular frequency. Crest Performance graphic equalizers - current product range:
