Compro, founded in 1988, initially focused on the OEM business by its excellent engineering and manufacturing skills to produce high quality products. In 2000, Compro cooperated with NVIDIA, the leading graphics chip developer, and released its first self-branded product, Personal Cinema .

From 2003, Compro introduced VideoMate PCI TV tuner cards and USB 2.0 TV tuner boxes.
