Cleansafe Pad and screen liquid cleaner

Cleansafe Pad and Screen cleaner
CleanSaテ Pad is an advanced system for cleaning and maintaining LCD and plasma screens. The combination of the CleanSaテョ Screen liquid, as supplied in the aluminum bottle and the CleanSaテョ Pad provides superior cleaning and protection of your screens, LCD, TFT or plasma.
This unique product ensures pressure is evenly dispersed along the surface of the screen when cleaning and the integrated spray head guarantees a thin, even spray is applied to the surface of the screen as needed.
Picture shows, left to right, the blister pack containing CleanSafe Pad and CleanSafe screen liquid; centre picture shows the velvety part of the pad with the liquid; right hand picture shows the liquid and the outside of the pad, for illustration. Pack comprises one pad and one liquid. Refills of liquid are sold separately in single or 25-packs.
The velvet pads supplied with the CleanSaテョ Pad do an excellent job of picking up (to minimize damage) dust and removing smudges. They will also remove oily fingerprints from a surface without spreading the oil. Both the CleanSaテョ Pad and the CleanSaテョ Screen are completely environmentally friendly.
CautionPlease take extreme care when cleaning any of the following screen types:
LCD screens are not made of glass. They are almost universally made of plastics with a soft surface film that is vulnerable to scratches, damage by sharp articles or improper cleaners. Plastics and computer manufacturers consistently do not recommend alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners. Repeated applications of alcohol on plastic will turn your screen surface yellow, make it brittle, and cause stress cracking (hairline scratches) on your screen surface. Do not make the mistake of damaging your expensive screen using a cheap / inexpensive glass cleaner and a paper towel.
Most cathode ray tube (CRT) type monitors have anti-glare coatings to help reduce reflections; scratches and/or harsh cleaners can damage this surface.
Many large screen and projection type TV's have a screen that is made of a plastic or acrylic type material. These type screens require special attention to clean properly and safely.
Plasma screens are made of glass substrate but are usually coated for glare and radiation reduction. Glare reduction add-on screens are coated for reduced reflection.
Most HDTV's have optical surface coatings for glare reduction. Optical coatings are often made of magnesium fluoride. There may be multiple coatings of this material, depending upon the degree of anti-reflectivity required. The first generation of optical coatings was notorious for being very soft and very easy to scratch. Recent coatings are "harder" and a bit more forgiving but are still relatively easy to scratch. If the coating is scratched or damaged, it can't be repaired.
Guidelines for cleaning LCD, plasma and anti-glare computer screens
The following instructions are good, general and safe methods for keeping your screen clean without causing surface damage. For safety, be sure your screen is turned off. It is also easier to see the reflection off the surface of the screen when turned off. The most common type problem is just dust on the surface.
The CleanSafe manufacturers recommend using the CleanSaテョ Pad even fingerprints can be removed by the quality of the CleanSaテョ Pad. For more stubborn dirt and/or stains use the LCD and Plasma Pad with a light spray of the CleanSaテョ Screen cleaner and protector solution supplied.
Use the CleanSaテョ Pad to wipe the surface. Apply light pressure only, wipe the screen but do not overwork any area. Make sure the pad itself does not contain any abrasive contaminants. Remember, most screens have an anti-glare coating that can be easily scratched.
Some problem areas of the screen that do not come clean may require additional treatment. When removing dust and dirt particles use the CleanSaテョ Pad, soft brush or canned air to dust any larger dirt particles. For dirt, stains or streaking, use a light spray of the CleanSaテョ Screen liquid cleaning and protection solution provided, then wipe dry with the CleanSaテョ Pad. On a large screen, it may be necessary to work one-half or third of the screen at a time. Use only a thin very light even spray on the screen. Although CleanSaテョ Screen is made to clean electronic products there is only a small amount of liquid required to clean the screen too much liquid can also cause unwanted stripes on your screen. Other liquids should NEVER be used.
Applying light pressure, work quickly so as to come back to the same area before it dries. With a fine spray of the liquid screen cleaner applied to the surface of the screen, position the CleanSaテョ Pad in your hand and continue wiping the screen past the point of most friction caused by the nearly dry screen. At this point position the CleanSaテョ Pad one more time and lightly wipe to finish polish. Finally clean the edges and corners and polish to a streak free shine, lifting any dust or debris into the micro fiber pad.
NEVER use any harsh detergents, especially glass cleaning products or any other product that contains ammonia or alcohol or derivatives thereof. Strong cleaning and ammonia products can etch the screen surface and can cause the plastic to become cloudy or streaked. Avoid using third party cleaners containing alcohol, solvents, ammonia or abrasives. Do not clean your screen with strong cleaners, polishes or chemically treated cloths. Use ONLY CleanSaテョ Screen as supplied.
Do NOT use wood based products (that means tissue, paper towels). Also avoid sponges or other coarse shop towels, as these materials may contain abrasives that can scratch plastic, acrylic, polycarbonate surfaces or surface coatings. Also, you will find many fabrics and papers to be quite dusty or linty, leaving the same on your screen. Avoid these cleaning chemicals: keytone type material (Acetone), alkalis, acids, phosphates, chlorides, ammonia, or caustics as they can cause damage to coatings or LCD polarizers. These chemicals are also not safe for the plastic materials found in computer equipment.
When using your CleanSaテョ Pad, do NOT apply excessive pressure to the screen surface. Coated surface protection (like on LCD and Plasma products) is a top high-tech area.
The CleanSaテョ Pad is fitted with a specially developed yellow velvet type product to ensure safe and good cleaning and protection. Ensure that this velvet pad does not become too dirty (risk of damage!). Replace it regularly. Changing the velvet pad is quick and easy and explained in the Refill packs which are sold separately.
Cleansafe product background and development
Product Background & Development
The pedigree of CleanSaテョ liquid products is well proven and has a fascinating lineage:
Early Developments: During the Cold War period, the US Navy urgently needed a non-toxic and environmentally friendly algae-repellent coating to paint onto the hulls of submarines. The coating had to be harmless to sea and river creatures and to plant life, whilst at the same time it had to achieve the objective of inhibiting algae growth.
Following exhaustive tests, the Navy was satisfied that the coating achieved the primary objective PLUS they also found that it improved the vessels' speed through the water. The coating had actually made the hull more "slippery" and so for the same power output, it moved faster through the water. A significant breakthrough in under-water technology.
Later Developments: Medical technologists became aware of the product and adjusted the formulation to use as a coating on the internal surfaces of invasive medical instruments, such as syringes. Here, the need was to provide a smooth transfer of fluid into the human body as the syringe plunger was depressed BUT without the "judder" normally associated with two plastic surfaces rubbing together. Again, the product worked perfectly, to the benefit of all.
Recent Developments: Perhaps the most significant development of all has been the use of the product in the food industry. Major manufacturers of syrups, ketchup痴, sauces and the like, now coat the inside of their glass and plastic bottles and jars to ensure the contents do not stick to the sides. This allows all the contents to be consumed and wastage to be kept at a minimum. Improved value for money, much to the consumers' delight!
Use of the product in the food industry, demonstrates perhaps above all, the complete lack of toxicity of the liquid and that it can be safely used by all - even children.
Further Developments: We are continuing the development of this proven technology and have taken it further into the world of the consumer - with new formulations of varying concentration - we now supply a wider range of defined markets, such as:
The Computer / Television / Screens industry, for cleaning and protecting PC, laptop and computer screens, also those with the new generation soft film filters (Plasma). Damage can occur to screens if products, which contain alcohol, and/or solvents are used.
The Optical industry, for cleaning and protecting spectacle and sunglass lenses of all types, including plastic and coated lenses. Being used by major optical groups.
The Copier / Scanner industry - where CleanSaテョ is used for cleaning and protectiion of lenses / glass plates and other optical parts. CleanSaテョ has proven to be able to replace most other traditional products.
The HI-FI / CD / MULTIMEDIA - DVD market, where tests have proven that the treatment of CD's, CD-ROM痴 and DVD痴 rectify almost all problems with these media. In addition a huge reduction is achieved in static electricity. Sound quality is improved and media become faster and more reliable (less retries).
The Motor Car market, for cleaning and protecting instruments and GPS screens as well as surfaces of windscreens and side windows.
The Commercial Cleaning market, supply to cleaning companies and buying groups in Europe, for cleaning glass, mirrors, ceramic and plastic surfaces in offices and the like.
The Motor Helmet market, where the cleaning and protection of Iridium Visors and other Helmet and motor parts requires the high-tech solutions found in CleanSaテョ.
